Product Overview

Marine Town® Magnetic Privacy Door Locks Smart design, smart looks and quality of manufacture have been combined in this new unique range of marine door locks. Latches operate by using two attracting magnets, one in the latch slide, and another in the strike plate. When door is closed both magnets align and latch actuates. These latches operate quieter than conventional spring latches, and as the latch is held closed by magnetic force, there is no vibration induced rattle. Other unique features include a triangular lever shaft, whereby as door lever or knobs are tightened to the triangular shaft they are locked in place in three dimensions, so there is no possible slop or rattle, as is often associated with square shafts. Installation is easy as the design allows a wide tolerance range for the installer. The same latch can be used for left or right swing, open in or open out doors. Privacy latch on inside can be released in an emergency from outside, via a pin hole override. Available in mirror polished or brushed stainless finish with either lever or oval knob handles.

Please note that heavy and bulky items ( some seats, large anchors, consoles, rope, chain etc ) have shipping limitations and can't be sent to any islands ( 2899 - Norfolk Island, 4875 - Thursday Island, 6798 - Christmas Island, 6799 - Cocos island ) or remote areas such as NT, WA, TAS, regional or far Nth QLD. In these cases we will contact you regarding the order and either cancel it or send to an alternative address if possible.

Delivery times may vary, especially during peak periods. While we strive to have orders despatched within 2-5 working days, some items can take a little longer due to interstate warehouse locations and delivery times. If an item is needed for a specific date, please check with us first. To be on the safe side it is best to order at least 10 working days before an item is needed.
Buyers living in remote areas such as farms, islands, mining camps, small towns, or out-of-towners, etc may need to collect from their nearest freight depot as we can't guarantee door to door delivery in each case.
If an order can't be delivered by the courier due to an address issue and is returned to us, we will require an additional payment for reshipping the item(s)
All deliveries are made during weekdays only, during normal business hours (9am to 5pm). Orders can't be delivered on weekends, public holidays or after business hours.
We use Direct Freight Express, StarTrack Express, Toll, Couriers Please and Australia Post for shipping items, depending on your location and the item being shipped, at our discretion.
NOTE: All Australian Courier charges allow for Only 1 Attempted Delivery per order. All orders will be shipped as ATL (Authority to Leave) at the premises. Please supply an address where someone can sign for the parcel.
Depending on order time, most orders leave our warehouses within 2-5 working days of receiving the order. We do ask that you allow 7-10 working days for delivery, however in most cases orders are delivered within Metro Areas within 2-5 working days. Regional areas can take longer.
If there is a stock availability issue on certain products in your order, you will be contacted and alerted to the status of your purchase. For more information on products and delivery, please contact us.
All orders are traceable and are sent with either Direct Freight Express, Australia Post, Couriers Please, Startrack Express or Toll Express.
